I'm Mae Losee, a UX Researcher with a proven track record in designing and executing research that enhances user experiences and drives business outcomes.
While working for an insurance company specifically focused on small businesses, I was tasked as the researcher for adding Workers' Compensation as our next coverage type. With the carriers and product developed, and a marketing spend set to launch traffic to our landing page, usability testing needed to be done quickly.
My Role
As the Lead UX Researcher for new US Products, my role was to conduct usability testing on the current journey to identify friction points and increase overall question comprehension and form completion.
Outcomes
Before and after my qualitative research, delivery of findings, and implemented changes, our month-to-month quote rate went up over 9%!
As a UK-based insurance company launching into a US market, research was critical in our development of new products and how to best market them. Our first challenge was to be a Business Owner's Policy.
My Role
With BOP being our newest product, my role was to initially align with stakeholders, identify target markets, and ultimately deliver the best insights on how to launch this product to an entirely new market than our existing base.
Outcomes
One aspect of the research included the importance of reviews. Before and after research, our reviews have gone from nine on-site reviews, to access to 385 reviews showing 4.7 stars on TrustPilot, increasing customer confidence in our business and their purchase(s).
ART-spire is a phone application work-in-progress. It will be an online community for artists, both local and globally, to connect. Its goal is to allow artists to collaborate, give feedback, and simply bring artists together, whether physically or virtually.
My Role
As the lead researcher and designer, I was responsible for this entire product start-to-finish. This included everything from interviewing artists and target markets, to prototyping, testing, designing, wireframing, and delivering this new opportunity for collaborating artists.
